Government of Tamil Nadu has renamed the erstwhile Cable TV Workers Welfare board as “Tamil Nadu Cable TV Operators and Workers Welfare Board” vide G.O.No:3, Information Technology & Digital Services (A1) Department dated 13.1.2024 with detailed guidelines for Enrolment and Welfare Schemes for the members.

The Welfare Board is headed by a Chairman, along with Official and Non-Official members appointed by the Government. General Manager-Administration, TACTV is the Member Secretary. The Tahsildars of TACTV in the Districts will act as the Nodal Officers for Enrolment of members.

As Cable TV Industry is in the unorganised sector without any institutional Assistance, Tamil Nadu Cable TV Operators and Workers Welfare Board will significantly help in the welfare of the Cable TV Operators and the Workers and their family members

Tamil Nadu Cable TV Operators and Workers Welfare Board will provide various welfare schemes/benefits like Marriage Assistance, Maternity Assistance, Educational Assistance, Compensation for Accidental Death/Disability to the eligible Cable TV Operators and the Cable TV Workers of Tamil Nadu who are enrolled with the Board. The family members will be provided with death compensation and Funeral expense at that time of death of the member.
